Hostería Misahualli Jungle Lodge was built in Puerto Misahualli Parish, Tena Canton, Napo Province by 1994, under advice of ecologist entities and architects. Nowadays, several transformations have been conducted aimed to improve service and comfort. The Hostería has 200 hectares of wild land and many natural attractions; it is surrounded as an island by Misahualli and Napo rivers that down the river start the Amazonas River that discharges into the Atlantic Ocean at Braz.

It construction using local materials is unique and in harmony with its wild surrounding. Nowadays there is an asphalted road connecting Quito-Puerto Misahualli through 206 kilometers, to be covered in 3:45 hours.
